Rev. Richard Mize, preaching “Love Me, Follow Me,” John 21:1-19. Third Sunday of Easter, May 1, 2022. Historic Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCUSA), 2301 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City.

I love old science fiction and monster movies. And Westerns.
I love chocolate. And pepperoni pizza. And ribeye steaks.
I love the late Merle Haggard’s music, and his story. And I love Willie Nelson, and his story. And The Beatles.
I love to read – mostly history, theology, politics, and government. I love to take a break from reality during the summer, and read fiction.
I love “The Simpsons,” and “Bob’s Burgers,” and lately, “The Great North.” TV cartoons for grownups.
I love my wife, and our daughter, and son-in-law, and granddaughter, our grandpets, our own kitties – and the rest of my families.
I love the PCUSA, the UCC and the broader church, for all their faults and challenges.
I love God the Father, who loves us like a Mother, I love Jesus the Son who walks with us as a Brother, and I love the Holy Spirit, the Comforter who guides us, and inspires us, and bears witness to God the Creator and Jesus the Savior. And I love you all, too
