#1 Ranked Sophomore in the country RJ Barrett and Rechon Black of Monteverde came to play last night vs McDonalds All American Kevin Knox and Tai Strickland of Tampa Catholic at the 2017 ARS National HoopFest. 6-7 2019 G RJ Barrett finished with a game-high 32 points vs Kevin Knox's 27 points. RJ Barrett is the future of basketball in Canada. R.J. is a 6-6, left-handed shooting guard with leaping ability, increasing range and a competitive fire. He may only be 16 years old, but Barrett is already a force to be reckoned with on the court, showcasing the size, athleticism and aggressiveness that has established him as ESPN's top prospect in the Class of 2019.Barrett's bread and butter on offense lies in his ability to drive to the rim and finishing through contact, with the young shooting guard often earning comparisons to fellow Canadian -- and No. 1 overall pick -- Andrew Wiggins.Thanks to his ceiling as a lethal scorer at the NBA level, Barrett has already drawn interest from dozens of collegiate programs -- including Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, UCLA, and Oklahoma.
