Today we’re ditching the pick and taking your first steps into fingerstyle guitar, using Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.

This lesson is all about control, coordination, and clean notes.

In Day 17, you’ll learn:
• The basics of fingerpicking technique
• The fingerpicking pattern used in Landslide
• Which chords to use with the pattern
• Which finger stays down the whole time
• How to keep notes clean and ringing
• Why playing slowly is the key to fingerstyle progress

We’ll go through the technique, learn the pattern, and then play along to the pattern together.

Fingerstyle is a completely new skill, so take your time with this one. Go slow, focus on clean notes, and let your hands get used to the new movements.
