Pepsi's new jingles for the '70s first hit the radio and TV airwaves in the Autumn of '69, just about the same time Coke kicked off the "It's the Real Thing" campaign. B.B. King joined a roster of recording stars performing for Pepsi including Three Dog Night, Friends of Distinction, Patti Austin, Johnny Cash and more. The mainstream standard jingle was sung by a trio led by Ron Dante of Archies and Cuff Links fame!

B.B. King's career is fun to research. Not only was he a singer, songwriter and guitarist, he was a radio personality on the first all-Black station in the country, WDIA in Memphis! Check out "Wheelin' on Beale" by Louis Cantor with a foreword by B.B. King. It's a fun read.

Please enjoy these Pepsi jingles as well as the many others featured here on the Audio Solutions page. There are many more to come.

All commercials are sourced from original broadcast media. Analog to digital conversion and restoration work happens here at Audio Solutions. Thanks for keeping Audio Solutions in mind!
