Day 636
For today a song almost too beautiful to even try. It got mentioned in yesterday's quote by Kris Kristofferson as the song tbat put him on to writing "Why me". It's Larry Gatlin's "Help me".

Don't know what version i heard first, but there's two in my record collection. One is on the early 70s album by Kris Kristofferson "Jesus was a Capricorn" as A5, where he sings it as A5 with the writer Larry Gatlin. It's the same album by the way that featured "Why me" as B5. The second version i have is on the Johnny Cash 2LP 'The Gospel Road', where it's featured in parts and whole with vocals by the writer Larry Gatlin and Johnny Cash. This is such a beautiful song ????????????

Last night i took some time to listen to some Larry Gatlin versions of it and no, i can't pick it like tbe writer himself. This is my version, done in honor though ????

Be sure to spread love, not hate ????

Thanks for watching. Be safe ????

The only schedule on this series is that there is none. Just a different song every day, that's all there is to it. Some will suck, some will be quite okay; and all 'verdicts' in between, too. So, so far it's been 257 finished songs and old demos i (co)wrote myself (not including songs in Dutch and yet untitled ideas). The rest are covers of various songs i love or just like to pick.. Just wondering how many there will be one day ????????
