The Colorado Avalanche come away with a win in a hard fought game against the Carolina Hurricanes at home for Hockey Fights Cancer Night. Cale Makar found the back of the net twice with his first goal flying over the net and hard off of the glass for a bounce off of Raanta and in to the net. Nathan MacKinnon found a goal of his own in the third with Mikko Rantanen not only assisting on all three goals but finding the empty net for himself. Pavel Francouz stood tall to mark his first win on the season.
