Kris Kristofferson, working as a janitor, was wrongly blamed and banned from Johnny Cash's recording session. Heartbroken, Kris hid in the basement during the next session. Cash found him and said, "I'm not gonna record until you come up there." Kris sat in the session, watched by the person who tried to get him fired. It showed Cash's character: he always stood up for the underdog.
