My father built this 027 layout for my older brother and me surprising us on Christmas morning 1956. This was set 1565WS with Hudson engine 2065 which he added the Wabash brakeman car to. The tunnel was made out of chicken wire and a sheet treated and painted. The 394 rotary beacon, 253 block control and 140 banjo signal were wired into the board. I was the kid who ended up running the layout the most later adding a B&M 2359 diesel in 1961. We still have most of the set. My father took this video on an 8mm movie camera in Darien, CT.
