Here's Norm's solo from Haggard's final recording released posthumously in 2016 (and not to be confused with the 1985 track "Kern River"). It has yet to make it onto an album, but you can find it easily with a search a YouTube. It's some pretty basic licks tied together in a 1-4-5 progression in Eb. I was in Fort Smith, AR with Cody Jinks the night Merle passed. We had just cut "The Way I Am" for the No Guarantees album. After our set, Cody did another set solo acoustic of all Merle songs. A night I'll always remember!
