Hey Guy’s! Welcome back to my channel.
In today’s video I’m going to show you how I made My Cabbage Soup for The Cabbage Soup Diet that I’m doing. This diet started in the 1950’s but became popular in the 1980’s. It’s had many names like the Sacred Heart Diet, the Military Cabbage Soup Diet, the TJ Miracle Soup Diet, the Russian Peasant Diet to the popular now Dolly Parton Cabbage Soup Diet. Some of them have their own plans telling you how much of the soup to eat and when and some of them incorporate eating fruit.
I’m going to do what feels best for me and I’ll share how I structured mine after my diet is complete.
I wanted to try the Cabbage Soup Diet for years but I never started it. I’ve tried just about everything else out there so I decided to give this a go. After watching tons of videos on YouTube I came up with the version of the recipe that suits me best. It’s very flavorful and filling with no added meat or fat. I hope you all will give it a try.

My Cabbage Soup Recipe:
2 Small Heads of Cabbage, chopped any way you like it
4 Ribs of Celery, chopped thick
4 Medium Carrots, chopped thick
1 Large Onion, sliced
3 Cans Del Monte Diced Zesty Chili Style Tomatoes, do not drain
1 - 32 Ounce Jar of Beef Bone Broth
2- 32 Ounce Cartons of Chicken Stock
2 Envelopes of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 Teaspoon Sea Salt
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
1 Teaspoon Sage
2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
1/2 Bunch of Cilantro, stems removed

Using a large stock pot add your liquids first. Next add all of your vegetables and give everything a stir to mix things together. Next add your seasonings and garlic. Cook over medium high heat until everything comes to a nice simmer.
Let everything cook until the vegetables are your desired tenderness and the carrots are done. Taste to see if you need to add anything else to suit your taste. Make it your own!
This will probably take 45 minutes or so.
Once the soup is done add the cilantro and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Eat in one to two cup servings served hot. Enjoy ????
