Rest of My Life Song Description:

A ballad about finding the person you’re truly meant to be with and the road getting there. The pain you feel walking away from a relationship, knowing it’s for the best, but also knowing it may mean being alone the rest of your life.

I wrote this song after walking away from an unhealthy relationship, in the depths I felt incredibly alone, ‘used up’ without much hope anyone would want me. It’s a terrible feeling of hopelessness.

The song begins in that moment of emptiness, turning to someone finding me, pulling me from the dark, putting me back together and showing me what it feels to be loved, resulting in seeing the rest of my life.

​⁠@BrendanBensonMusic ​(of The Raconteurs) joined me for a duet on this song. Our vocals build and carry through the bridge, opening to both of us finding happiness in the end.

This song is an easy slow-tempo, familiar sound of ​⁠ ​⁠ meets ​⁠​⁠ and ​⁠​⁠
