Swagg Man, a French-Tunisian hip-hop artist who now lives in Miami, isn't that well known in the United States. But in France and in French speaking Arab countries, especially Tunisia, he's a huge star. His songs have more than 70 million listens. He's been called the Post Malone of France. And he's also being called a con arist.

In Tunisia, he's been sentenced to twenty years in prison for defrauding fans by befriending them over social media, then convincing them that he had real estate investment opportunities of a lifetime - if only they gave him cash or cryptocurrency.

Now in Florida he's being sued by a Tunisian investor who says he gave Swagg Man 1.5 million euros to invest in Ft. Lauderdale real estate - only for the money to be laundered through various shell companies to buy Swagg Man and his wife a Lamborghini. The investor has decided to hit Swagg Man with a RICO claim - a lawsuit under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, a powerful law designed to let private citizens try to shut down crime.

Attorney Kevin Kneupper walks you through all the drama in this video, including what the lawsuit says and why you shouldn't jump to hand money to a famous influencer who suddenly starts DM'ing you about all their investment opportunities.
