The Peak District is seriously wet at the moment. This is the wettest I've seen the path above Derwent Edge - it was sloppy. I had high hopes for some great low late autumn sun on this ride, the forecast looked epic... but no one told the weather haha, it was so foggy! It was really bloody cold too, air temp was 2ºC at the car, up top it was maybe 0ºC but the wind was fierce, so maybe -5ºC wind chill BRRR.

My fav downhill - Lockerbook, well I think I'm cursed on it. First, there was all the water, it was like a stream. Second, the downed tree. Third, that flick of mud right in the centre of the lens.... eeeeeeek, one day soon, I hope to get a good run - probably next summer now.

Hilariously as I was on the first climb, I was giving it all the chat about never head out without a map and compass. What happened next? I took the wrong trail in the fog and had to back track - FOOL.

Less hilariously I lost the light as I was descending from Derwent Edge - it was dicey to say the least. Man, riding in the UK at this time of year is tough. I might head back to Derwent Edge in a couple of days, but start at an earlier section, there are some great rock formations up there.
