It’s back in the family. This is the 1965 Fender P-Bass that belonged to my great uncle Howard Lowe, aka Jerry Ward, who was the original bass player and founding member of @merlehaggardofficial’s band The Strangers. This bass was used on Merle’s most iconic songs including Branded Man, Mama Tried, Swingin’ Doors and more. What an incredible feeling to be able to have this bass back in the family. So much history and iconic music has been created with this at the foundation.
