Did you know that Tom Petty suffered from a fractured hip throughout his 2017 40th anniversary tour? The aging rock icon suffered from a multitude of health problems from emphysema to knee problems and a fractured hip. Not wanting to let his fans down Petty pushed through a 53 date tour. His intense pain led him to accidentally overdose on pain medication, which led to his death on October 2nd 2017. He left an indelible mark on the history of music.
