Dolly Parton, who was given a $100 million award by Jeff Bezos in recognition of her long-standing philanthropic work, pledged to "do good things" with it.


On November 11, Jeff Bezos presented Dolly Parton with the $100 million Bezos Courage and Civility Award. The honor for her humanitarian work was given to Dolly, 76, by Jeff and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez. Before Jeff, 58, introduced Dolly, Lauren, 52, said on stage that the award "recognizes leaders who aim high, find solutions, and always do it with civility." Jeff added that the "9 To 5" singer "gives with her heart" in her "incredible" efforts to help others.
