Korea didn’t change overnight.
But after living here for 14 years, I started noticing something…
The way people live feels different.
Things that used to be normal:
strict social expectations
group pressure
certain rules around relationships and work
…aren’t as accepted anymore.
From the adultery law being removed, to drinking culture shifting, to more people living alone — Korea has slowly become more individualistic.
But that change comes with a trade-off.
More freedom.
More independence.
And in many cases… more loneliness.

In this video, I talk about the small changes that added up — and how they’ve quietly reshaped everyday life in Korea.
